Dress description : I wore this gorgeous gown for my September wedding and loved it! The Scarlet is a very sexy, yet classy dress with a dramatic keyhole back. It is a silk slip liner, which is completely separate from the alencon lace overlay. I hate to part with it, but hope that it will make another bride feel as beautiful as I did.
The dress has been professionally cleaned and is in great shape. There are a couple minor flaws, which I will describe, but am also happy to send close up photos of to any serious potential buyer. There is some wear of the lace evident in a few locations. Mostly the delicate fringe around the bust and keyhole in the back is bent in some spots - this is not noticeable in a global view of the dress, only up close. There are no holes or tears in the lace at all. There are also some stains on the train of the silk slip dress which did not come out with cleaning, but not at all visible when the dress is on.
I only had a couple of minor and reversible alterations made. I had bra cups sewn into the liner, but they have already been removed. The lace across the shoulders was a little too broad, so my seamstress folded it under and added a new fabric loop for the hook closure. This had also been removed. That was it! I am a tall girl, so no changes were made to the hem. |
