Dress description : Fell in love with the dress, but didn't have the right guy. Maybe my misfortune could be your dream come true!
This is a Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner wedding gown, style 2132H in Ivory/Silver, Size 10. It is a beautiful taffeta gown, embroidered with genuine Swarovski crystals over the strapless neckline. The boned torso has a corset tie back with a dropped waist and a ruched skirt with embroidery into the pick ups and onto the chapel length train.
I purchased this dress at the Tacoma Wedding Expo and paid $1000.00. It has also been altered by a very reputable bridal shop, which cost me $225.00.
The alterations include:
* Hem (I am 5'7" and had it hemmed to be worn with 4" heels, just to give you an idea)
* Bustle loops--I chose a five point French bustle for this dress, which is absolutely gorgeous and well-worth the extra money!
* Bra cups
* Threaded neckline (makes the beaded neckline lay perfectly flat across your décolletage)
* Extra boning (for an even sleeker shape!)
* I also purchased a slip to be worn underneath (which is huge!) and really helps fan out the skirt (like a princess dress!!!) for $75.00, which I am including as I have no other use for it.
This dress has never been worn, except to try on and for fitting/alterations. I know how happy it made me when I bought it, and I know it will make someone else very happy too. The only pictures I could find show the dress in pink, but please note that the gown for sale is actually ivory/silver. My best advice to anyone shopping for a wedding gown is to remember that they run small. I was a size 6 or 8 when I bought it--I have since lost 30 lbs and it is big on me. The corset does give you a lot of liberty though, so don't be discouraged.
There is also a Swarovski tiara that I am listing in a separate post--however, they are a good match and if you like them together, we can work something out.
Thank you for looking. :) |
